We are not talking about Tiger Wood’s conquests but the venue for the next Hemisphere Cup. The 11^th Hemisphere Cup will be held at Machrihanish Golf Club on the 20^th and 21^st May 2010.

The course is set in wonderful dunes by the small village of Machrihanish, which is situated on the western side of the remote Kintyre Peninsula; this is where the sky is big, the sunsets are dramatic and the air has been warmed by the Gulf Stream and its relative inaccessibility has saved it from becoming more commercialised. In other words, it is a long way from anywhere!

It should provide a great test for competent golfers and a hard one for most of us.

The format of the event will be as normal with one round on the Thursday afternoon and two rounds on the Friday with accommodation on the Thursday and Friday night. Accommodation will be in nearby Cambletown.

There should also be the opportunity to play Machrihanish Dunes around the event.
